New Kids on the Block cancel Australian tour

SINGING group The New Kids on the Block today announced they have cancelled their Australian tour.
“Due to circumstances beyond their control, the New Kids On The Block have been forced to cancel their upcoming Australian tour dates. The group is incredibly disappointed and very sorry they won’t be able to perform in Australia at this time. The guys are very grateful for all the love and support from their Australian fans," a spokesperson for the group said today.
The group, which split in 1994 only to reform recently, was supposed to perform at the Burswood Dome on Saturday August 1.
Wall of Soundz featuring Brian McFadden were to be the special guest performers.

A statement issued this afternoon read: “Due to circumstances beyond their control, the New Kids on the Block have been forced to cancel their upcoming Australian tour dates.
“The group is incredibly disappointed and very sorry they won’t be able to perform in Australia at this time.”
The statement paid tribute to the support from Australian fans.
The 1980s boy band sold 80 million albums and after splitting in 1994, the group announced they were getting back together late last year.

The tour was due to kick off in Perth on August 1.
